The #1 Brazilian Jiu Jitsu & Self Defense Academy in the Annapolis, MD area Wants To Know…
Do You Wanna Learn Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu?
BEGINNERS BEWARE
We must warn you about some things
Most importantly, you should know that not all schools are created equally, and it is very important that you make an educated decision before picking a school.
Most Brazilian Jiu Jitsu schools just throw beginner students to the wolves the first week they have started training. Your orientation to Jiu Jitsu is getting your butt kicked and handed to you by more advanced students. In reality, you might as well start a full-blown conditioning program before joining a Jiu Jitsu school, because if you're not in shape while attending most schools, you're going to have a really hard time.
On top of that, one dirty little secret that no one at these schools will tell you is that you're going to learn whatever the instructor decides to teach that day. I mean, in all forms of education, sports progression, or any form of higher learning, educators/instructors have a very detailed, finely tuned curriculum to guarantee that a student learns the required material for the level that they are at. The sad fact is that most Brazilian Jiu Jitsu schools don't teach a curriculum. I've heard stories of some schools lying to students, telling them that they did have a curriculum for the class but were never able to produce it. And don't dare ask what you will be learning today, this week, next week, this month or this year, because in all honesty they have no clue at all what they are going to teach. You keep coming to class and, if you're lucky, a few years down the road you may get your first belt. The problem is, you'll never know what you need to do to achieve that belt. And if you ask, you'll probably hear something like "You Have To Be Able To Beat All The White Belts" or "You Have To Win Some Tournaments."
This is sad but very true. Fortunately for you, I have the solution, and it's one of the reasons our students are so happy, and we have people from all over the country moving to Annapolis to train at Team Randori.
Let Me Tell You How Our Academy Is Diffrent From Any Other School In The Area.
Picture this…
When you arrive to our academy, one of my friendly staff members, I will take you through a tour of our entire facility and answer any questions that you may have.
You will then participate in a Brazilian Jiu Jitsu orientation class that is only for students visiting for the very first time. This class is taught by a Black Belt instructor. We will give you an introduction to our style of Brazilian Jiu Jitsu and tell you exactly how to get the most out of our program.
Next, you will be set up to take our Beginner Jiu Jitsu class. This class is geared for our true beginners. You won't have to guess what you'll be learning because we post our monthly curriculum throughout the school and even give you a copy of the curriculum for you to take home for your own records.
Our beginner Basics Class is taught in a friendly, social and laid-back atmosphere that is 100% geared to teaching our new students our core basic requirements at our school.
Don't get me wrong, we do offer advanced classes for students that want to fight like pros, but that's not what our Beginner Basic Class is for.
I've set up The Beginner Basics Classes like this for a couple of reasons.
✅ I know for a fact that there are students that just want to learn Brazilian Jiu Jitsu as an art form and don't want to get involved in any sparring of any sort.
✅ Many people come and start training out of shape, and they wouldn't be able to complete a full-blown competitive Brazilian Jiu Jitsu class.
✅ In the very beginning, I personally believe that students need to focus heavily on learning their technique instead of trying to learn how to survive in heated sparring matches when they don't know any technique yet.
I've basically set up two different Brazilian Jiu Jitsu programs in the academy that will appeal to any and everyone.
We have our advanced and competition classes that are extremely demanding and competitive. This is for students that are interested in taking it to this level.
Then we have our Beginner Basics Classes for new students just starting out that may be a little (LOL) out of shape; for the students not interested in sparring or competitions; and for the students who will appreciate being able to learn Jiu Jitsu in a non-competitive environment.
Many people think, because we have the #1 Brazilian Jiu Jitsu Academy in the Annapolis area, that everything that we do is geared towards competition. That's completely wrong.
We offer 2 Beginner Basics Classes per week, and have an all-level class that white belts can attend once they complete 16 White Belt Basic Classes.
Beginners have classes that they can come to 6 days a week, morning and evening. You won't find that anywhere else. Most schools are geared toward their competition team.
Team Randori is unlike any Jiu Jitsu school you'll ever experience. I want everyone that comes through my doors to have an experience as if they were at Disney World, and it's by design. You'll feel like a special person from the moment you walk into the doors of my academy. You won't believe how friendly my students and staff are. You also won't believe how clean we keep our school. When you think about a school that has produced as many champions as we have, you would probably think that we have some dirty, smelly hole in the wall. Like I said, we are a professional training facility in every sense. You just have to see it for yourself. Go ahead and give our 1-Week Free Trial Membership a try and see for yourself.
But don't take my word for it. Watch the video below to see what some of our satisfied customers have to say about our academy.
Brazilian Jiu Jitsu is Way Too Hard.
I’ve heard that there are people that think Brazilian Jiu Jitsu WAY TO HARD and are hesitant to give it a try. This is the furthest thing from the truth. Actually it’s pretty funny. It’s a misconception. I guess some people think that if they come to learn that someone is going to throw them into the Ultimate Fighting Championships. WRONG! Brazilian Jiu Jitsu is FUN first and foremost and doesn’t require any previous experience. Anyone can do it; big people, small people, young people, older people, flexible people, non-flexible people, experienced people, non-experienced people, ANYONE.
If you have ever thought that Martial Arts training may be for you, I would urge you to come in and see our program for yourself. I guarantee that you’ll absolutely love it; we can help meet any of your needs.
I know it may sound like I'm begging, but the fact of the matter is that I AM.
I would hate for you to miss out on the many benefits that our students are experiencing RIGHT NOW just because you are a little hesitant to give it a try. If that’s the case, you don’t have to come in to try it, just come in to watch. Isn’t that fair? But if you want to try it, you should take advantage of my generous 1-Week Free Trial Membership offer TODAY.
I don’t know what else I can do to get you to come to our school and see for yourself. If there is something that I’m missing that will get you to come in, please call me on my cell phone to let me know what it is. Here’s my cell phone number, 443-983-4073. Trust me, I’ll do almost most anything to prove to you that our program is right for you and that we can help you achieve your goals.
