Wrestling Coach
My background is rooted in decades of service, leadership, and elite-level instruction spanning federal service, wrestling, and youth development.
I bring 28 years of federal government service into everything I do as a coach and mentor. I hold a Master’s degree in Criminal Justice and Information Security Systems.. I have served in 15 U.S. embassies worldwide, specializing in biometrics investigations and high-level security operations. That experience sharpened my discipline, integrity, and attention to detail, qualities I carry with me onto the mat every single day.
I’m a Maryland Native. Athletics have always been central to my life. In 1999, I became a DeMatha 4-time National Champion in high school wrestling and later competed as an NCAA wrestler in 2000. My coaching journey includes serving at DeMatha Catholic High School 2005-2014, where I helped lead the program as Assistant Head Coach to 8x National Championships, and at Briar Woods High School in Dulles Virginia (2017–2024), where I contributed as Assistant Head Coach to 2x State Championships. I currently serve as a Junior Wrestling Coach with the United States Naval Academy in Annapolis, Maryland, focusing on high-intensity positions, advanced technique, situational control, and competition-level execution.
I remain fully committed to continuing education and athlete and children's safety. My certifications include:
USA Wrestling ID Number: 2419276601
USA Wrestling Bronze Level Coaches Certification
USA Wrestling Leader Membership (Maryland)
NCEP Certification (B, T, CT)
HEADS UP Concussion in Youth Sports Certification
Referee and Coaches USA Wrestling Education Program Certification
Coaching Girls and Women Wrestlers
Above all, I am a husband and father of three. Youth development is not just part of my profession—it is personal. I understand the trust parents place in a coach, and I take that responsibility seriously. My mission is to build confidence, discipline, strength, self-awareness, and character in every child I work with.
I often say I coach as if every parent is “on my shoulder speaking into my ear,” ensuring their child is expressing themselves, giving their very best, and always doing the right thing.
At Team Randori Martial Arts, I blend high-level wrestling with Elite Black Belt instruction, leadership, and mentorship to create a safe, disciplined, and premier training environment. My goal is not only to develop skilled athletes, but to shape confident, respectful, and resilient individuals, on and off the mat.
At the end of the day, I am committed to building champions in life first.
~ Parents. Please feel free to speak with me at any time if you have questions or concerns about your Junior Champion. Your trust means everything to me.
