Carlos Placido, is a 3rd Degree Black Belt in Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu, having earned his black belt in 2013. Originally from Brazil, he brings with him the roots, tradition, and authenticity of true Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu, combined with over a decade of experience living and teaching in the United States.
As an active competitor, Professor Carlos believes in leading by example. He continues to test himself on the mats, demonstrating that growth never stops—regardless of rank or experience. His teaching style blends strong fundamentals, discipline, and technical precision with encouragement and personal development.
Beyond Jiu-Jitsu, Carlos graduated in Law in Brazil and has always been passionate about serving others. He has conducted seminars, mentored students on and off the mats, and actively serves in his church as a leader for youth groups. His leadership is grounded in faith, integrity, and a commitment to helping others become stronger—not only as athletes, but as individuals.
